occupation – 106/1000

It happened again, only this time it was real, not something out of a nightmare.

The sirens were wailing and I could hear gunshots in the streets. There was no more time. I had to leave.

Occupation had always been my greatest fear, ever since they appeared in the night sky.

Aliens and soldiers in the streets? No thank you.

I got my bug out bag and fled.

Burst of gunfire and explosions lit the night around me as I ran, toward what I didn’t know, just away from home for the last time.

Who thought it’d end like this?

I’m on a mission to write 1,000 one hundred word stories. I’d love if you follow along!
