eternally – 100/1000

“I’ll love you forever.”

“Well, I think forever is a bit too long,” she said, peeling a patch of his greenish skin off his shoulder as they talked.

“But I can be with you forever,” he said.

She touched his face and then grimaced when more skin fell away at her touch, he was rotting right before her eyes.

“I don’t think you’re going to be here much longer, babe,” she said.

“It doesn’t matter what I look like, does it?”

“Well, not so much, but you need to be all in one piece.”

“I think I lost a piece.”

If you’ve enjoyed any of my work, please consider having a coffee with me.

I’m on a mission to post 1,000 100 word stories! Follow this publication to keep reading them.

Update, 4/10/26 – I’m stopping here at 100 stories and taking a break for a month. When I pick up with these again in May, I’m going to connect the next 100 with a plot and tell an actual stories with the stories. This got sooooo boring.

UPDATE 3/31/26 – I’m fucking tired of this project, this mission sucks, I’m stopping at 100 and then maybe in a few months I’ll do 100 more.

I’m experiencing with different writing styles, as long as they all add up to exactly 100 words, and trying a new AI image generator to help keep looking the same around here. I hope that doesn’t steer you away from my words.
