I’m a single mom, a writer, a college student, and a communications director for a non-profit community center.

I enjoy my job immensely, and can’t imagine working in a field where I can’t just help people all day, every day.

When I graduate from college in a few years with a B.S. in Criminal Justice, I want to make it my job to help people who are leaving prison have a better chance at reintegrating and having a good life once their time has been served.

My dream job would be to work on abolishing the death penalty (again) with the ACLU, but as I’ve learned at my current job: We can’t help everyone with everything, but every day, we can do the best we can to do the best we can.

Of course, that’s all if I don’t make it as a full-time writer of novels read by a fanbase of millions.

Wish me luck.
